There are some points arising from the BBC News website’s report about convicted paedophile Keith Harding’s appearance on Jim’ll Fix It in December 1980. A couple of lines leap out in particular. “The girl’s brother Dean, now in his 40s, has told BBC News the feature was ‘set up’ by the production team who instigated the item by approaching the family.” Now, this sounds awfully sinister, but it really wasn’t.
